Singapore Kranji Race 09/10/2021 Betting Analysis

RACE 1 (12:00) CLASS 5 (1)

1st Pick: HEALTHY STAR (4)
Went close last time over this course and distance and looks well placed to go very well again.

2nd Pick: HARRY DREAM (2)
Returns after a lengthy break and has trialled well for this return to action. Lightly-raced mare and open to further improvement.

3rd Pick: OLYMPIA (9)
Hold-up tactics are working well in his last couple of starts and a win is just around he corner.

4th Pick: WAWASAN (3)

Has the useful 3kg claim from Jerlyn Seow Poh Hui and is in good form. Keep safe.

RACE 2 (12:30) OPEN MAIDEN (WEIGHT FOR AGE)

1st Pick: GREATHAM GIRL (12)
In a race that lacks plenty of depth, Greatham Girl looks a bit of a standout on recent form and should be able to make most of a good opportunity.

2nd Pick: MIGHTY VAIN (1)
The return to turf racing would be a positive and has got plenty of place form in the book.

3rd Pick: SUPER ATAS (7)
Has some handy form early on in his career and should be capable of running a solid race here.

4th Pick: HOLY ELEANOR (11)
The trip is an interesting one with this mare, but she has been placed over this distance in the UK and needs to overcome a shocking draw. Place claims.

RACE 3 (13:00) CLASS 4 (2)

1st Pick: HEADHUNTER (3)
Made his way back in the winner’s stall last start and changed their tactics on that day. Hit the line strongly and can go on with it here.

2nd Pick: KISS YOUR SONG (2)
Very consistent in this grade and at this distance. If he jumps well from a wide gate and gets a genuine tempo, will be in the finish

3rd Pick: MAGNIFIQUE (1)
Ran well at his last outing where he carried topweight. The weight spread on that race wasn’t in his favour and still ran well, all things considered. Yusoff Fadzli’s claim helps here.

4th Pick: TOM CAT (5)
Finally draws a nice barrier to get some more luck in this. Should be just off the pace and can sprint well.

RACE 3 (13:00) CLASS 4 (2)

1st Pick: HEADHUNTER (3)
Made his way back in the winner’s stall last start and changed their tactics on that day. Hit the line strongly and can go on with it here.

2nd Pick: KISS YOUR SONG (2)
Very consistent in this grade and at this distance. If he jumps well from a wide gate and gets a genuine tempo, will be in the finish.

RACE 4 (13:30) CLASS 5 (1)

1st Pick: SMOKE AND MIRRORS (12)
Trialled in nice order for a race like this. Well placed on this course and will look a danger in the final 200 of the race.

2nd Pick: MIRACLE (1)
This is his preferred grade. Ran a solid placing last start and his lone win came in similar conditions.

3rd Pick: TAKHI (3)
Comes into this first-up after a break which saw him run some nice races just failing to break through for a win. Trialled nicely last week for this.

4th Pick: TERRIFIC (2)
Back to a winnable grade which saw him winning over the mile back in June with a big weight. Watch the market for support.

RACE 5 (14:00) CLASS 5 (2)

1st Pick: SUPERSONICSURPRISE (11)
It may just pay in a race of such poor quality to side with the most prolific winner in the race.

2nd Pick: MY HORSE (3)
Second most prolific in the line-up. Did win back in July and should go well.

3rd Pick: BEN WADE (1)
Has shown enough to suggest even a placing in a race like this is possible.

4th Pick: GLOBAL SPIRIT (5)
A 15-race maiden, but the drop back in trip and the booking of Marc Lerner are positives at the very least.

RACE 6 (14:30) CLASS 4

1st Pick: SPEEDY MISSILE (4)
Things didn’t go his way at his last outing when donning blinker-pacifiers for the first time. The blinker-pacifiers come off. Cast plate. Can take this if on song.

2nd Pick: ROCKETSHIP (6)
Let supporters down at her last two runs. Still learning the trade, but is not without ability. Well drawn and maps well for this race.

3rd Pick: BRUTUS (5)
Versatile sort but best runs have been from the front. Scored in Class 5 company last start and goes back up to Class 4 level. No weight on his back and will be hard to get past in straight if he is left alone upfront.

4th Pick: NO FUN NO GAIN (3)
Long time between drinks but last two starts have been encouraging. Four wins were over this course and distance. Expected to show improvement in this.

RACE 7 (15:00) CLASS 5 (2)

1st Pick: TURF BEAUTY (8)
Looks well placed to take out this event. Hasn’t been too far away from the winners at her last few outings and will take beating.

2nd Pick: SEE YAH (7)
Meets a weaker division of this grade and going off his last start behind stablemate Brutus, he can figure somewhere in the finish here.

3rd Pick: LIM’S SHOT (5)
Trialled well last week and has been placed in the lesser division, so that helps his chances. Could be a market watch. Is a five-time winner in his career.

4th Pick: ATLANTEAN (4)
Has mixed form on both surfaces. Has been promising to perform this year and gets his chance in a race that doesn’t have a lot of depth to it.

RACE 8 (15:30) CLASS 5

1st Pick: SUN PITTSBURGH (6)
Has a strong strike rate over this course and distance. From a strong stable who thrives in this grade and over longer distances.

2nd Pick: FORT MUSTANG (3)
Has been consistent this year and his best career results have come over this distance. Must respect.

3rd Pick: ANYWAY (5)
His last win came at the end of last year and now drops to a suitable rating. Trialled in good order leading into this.

4th Pick: HOSAYLIAO (4)
He is a winner of two of his last three starts. Changed stable before his last run and looks well placed here to figure again.

RACE 9 (16:00) CLASS 4

1st Pick: STRONG N BEST (7)
Only one win thus far, but is not without ability. Ignore last start when trapped deep and had to be bustled up to keep up. One-paced. Blinkers instead of winkers to sharpen him up. Drawn better and expected to challenge in this.

2nd Pick: MATSURIBAYASHI (4)
Course and distance specialist. Caught wide last couple of runs and was left without a burst when it mattered. Low draw will ensure an economical run. Go close.

3rd Pick: AXEL (1)
Seldom disappoints. Keeps putting in decent runs without winning. Big threat if he can secure the lead from awkward alley.

4th Pick: SOUND THE SIREN (5)
Made some ground without threatening last time out. Doesn’t win out of turn but if gets a nice smother somewhere in midfield, he isn’t without a say.

RACE 10 (16:30) CLASS 3

1st Pick: ON LINE (9)
Needs more ground, but after two warm-up runs, he might bounce back and land a blow here. Reverts to turf, which is a plus. All four wins were recorded on turf. Ready to put best foot forward.

2nd Pick: QUARTER BACK (3)
Returns to his pet trip. Last win came over course and distance four runs back. Not much of him, so big impost is a concern, but he can still come through.

3rd Pick: SACRED JUDGEMENT (8)
Back from his fourth win in a row last week. Has pulled up well and should be a force to reckon with even if this is a touch harder. Wide barrier does not help. His toughness will keep him in good stead.

4th Pick: KARISTO (10)
Unreliable sort. Only one win in 24 starts. Handles this trip and if in the mood, he can grab a place at odds.

RACE 11 (17:00) CLASS 4 (1)

1st Pick: KASSAB (5)
Back from a freshen-up from first three local starts that produced a promising record of one win and two placings, all over 1000m speed dashes. Trialled like a bomb last week. Commands respect.

2nd Pick: HAPPY MOMENT (4)
Racing with a new lease of life. Two-from-two at this prep under new name (formerly Count Me In). Nice barrier and will be running on at the business end.

3rd Pick: MISTER DYNAMO (9)
In great shape. Quiet trial last Thursday with rider just pointing him in the right direction. Up in grade but is a progressive sort who should be able to measure up here.

4th Pick: ALWAYS INNOCENT (6)
Big run first-up from a layoff. Did it tough three wide without cover, went for broke upon straightening but was claimed late by Headhunter. Drawn awkwardly again, but not without a say if he can find the front early without using too much petrol.
