The Gunners will make a last gasp effort to qualify for Europe, and since they have nothing to lose, we can count on them to deliver a fearless performance. Thus, against the struggling but safe Seagulls, they easily are the favorites.

As of now, Mikel Arteta’s men are placed ninth in the table, with a total of 58 points against their name. They need to finish seventh in the table to secure a ticket to the Conference League.

Note that a seventh-place finish is the  best they could hope – as positions above that are mathematically ruled out with this being the final game in the campaign.

As things stand, Tottenham are placed seventh in the table, while Everton are placed eighth. Note that both have 59 points against their name.

However, the Spurs are on the road for the final fixture, pitted against Leicester. Meanwhile, the Toffees are on the road, locking horns with champions Manchester City.

Thus, both Tottenham as well as Everton are expected to drop points, and should the Gunners deliver a win, they could make it to Europe.

They are in form, and are at home. Note that the Seagulls are going through a poor run at the moment, and have an inferior h2h record against this rival.

As such, expect an Arsenal victory this weekend.

PREDICTION

The Gunners recorded a 1-3 win on the road the last match-day, against Crystal Palace. In the meantime, the Seagulls registered a 3-2 win against Manchester City.

Going on, Arteta’s men are on a four-fixture winning streak in the league, and they had kept clean sheets in five of the preceding ten games.

On the other hand, their counterparts were winless in 12 of their past 16 overall matches, and note that they have a total of just one win on the road in the past four-month period. Moreover, they had also failed to score in four of the last seven away games.

Taking these stats into account, along with the determination of Arsenal, expect a win for them.
