MATCH PREVIEW

Freiburg and Union Berlin have scored ten goals combined last weekend. They are now set to square off on Bundesliga Matchday No 33.

Freiburg rebounded from an unpleasant 3-0 loss at Hertha BSC in some style by bagging four goals past Koln last weekend.

Nils Petersen, Ernedin Demirovic, Vincenzo Grifo, and Jonathan Schmid were all on target. The former trio is expected to start Saturday’s fixture against Bayern Munich.

The match against the champions is a great opportunity for glory and there are no doubts the hosts will have something to say on Saturday.

Freiburg are generally well capable of scoring goals, especially at Schwarzwald-Stadion where they lost just 4 of 16 league affairs this term.

Christian Streich’s men won two and drew one of the last three home fixtures in the competition. They’ve scored seven goals along the way and they will surely get chances against the Bavarians.

Bayern Munich suffered a 2-1 defeat to Mainz in their previous away fixture. The loss counted for little, though, since the Bavarians had already secured another Bundesliga title.

Hansi Flick’s troops bounced back in style, celebrating a demolishing 6-0 victory over Borussia M’gladbach last weekend. Robert Lewandowski was particularly inspired as he completed a hat-trick on the occasion.

PREDICTION

This match may not have significance in terms of the outcome, but it certainly has goals in it. Both sides have been quite inspired in the final third last weekend.

We’ve seen goals at both ends in each of the last five head to head encounters.

Less then 2.75 goals would be predicted.
