Bayern Munich can mathematically secure another Bundesliga title with a victory over Mainz on Saturday afternoon at OPEL ARENA. Despite some unexpected slip-ups at certain points of the campaign, Der FCB still easily cruised past the rest of the league to come on the brink of the 31st trophy in the domestic league.

Hansi Flick has had numerous problems with the list of sidelined players lately, but it was not felt on team’s performances in the league. The Bavarians picked up two important victories over the likes of Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen within the last seven days. They are now 10 points clear of RB Leipzig at the second position and we will likely crown them champions after this weekend’s clash against Mainz.

PREDICTION

Mainz desperately need points in the battle for avoiding the relegation. They managed to escape the red zone after a surprising run of five subsequent league matches without a defeat. Bo Svensson’s men showed a decent attacking form by netting two goals past Hoffenheim and three goals past Koln in the last two away games in the division.

Bayern are obviously heavy favourites, but we would not be surprised to see Mainz scoring a goal themselves here.
