Race 1: Chaozhou Handicap

#2 Run The Table makes a favourable return to Class 5. He’s a winner in this grade and his pairing with Zac Purton bears close watching. #3 Scholar might be able to turn his fortune around from gate two. He’s next best with the right run. #10 Smart Hunter is capable of pushing forward here under the light weight. He’s better than his form suggests. #4 President Star is a two-time course and distance winner. He can improve off the back of a solid first-up effort.

Race 2: Guangzhou Handicap

#4 Kurpany closed impressively first-up for second behind Silver Fig. He can improve off that run from gate three with Alexis Badel engaged. #3 Classic Unicorn is a two-time course and distance winner. He steps down from Group 3 company which appears suitable and if he brings his best then he shapes as a leading player. #2 Hong Kong Win mixes his form but is very, very capable over this course and distance. #7 Sight Success draws well and will ensure there is a stack of pace in this race.

Race 3: Dongguan Handicap

#3 Fabulous Eight just needs to offset the wide gate to be competitive here. He narrowly missed last start and a repeat of that run should ensure he goes close. #8 My My My draws well and is favoured with race experience here. He can take another step forward here. #7 Lightning Storm steps out on debut off the back of a stylish trial effort of late. He looks well placed to make an impact first-up. Chances are #5 Noir Rider rolls forward to try and pinch this. He deserves respect.

Race 4: Foshan Handicap

#3 Flying Mighty is closing in on a first win. He’s better than his record suggests and the step up in trip to nine furlongs here is suitable. #1 Methane has finished runner-up his last five outings. He’s so close to another win but just can’t seem to get his nose in front. #6 Red Impact is racing well and did win three starts ago. He gets a few favours. #5 Winning Volatility closed well first-up for fourth. He’s a winner over this course and distance and with race-fitness he gets his chance.

Race 5: Kwangtung Handicap Cup Handicap

#7 Dynamic Eagle returns after scoring last start at the beginning of this month. He’s been freshened since that run and from gate four he shapes as the one to beat under Alexis Badel. #9 Above improved sharply last time out for a fast-closing fifth. He’s competitive in his spot over these sorts of staying trips. #2 Vincy mixes his form but is open to added improvement. He’s next best. #5 Golden Spectrum draws favourably. He was well-supported first-up and it wouldn’t surprise to see the same happen again.

Race 6: Huizhou Handicap

#2 More Than Enough did a stack of work early one from the wide gate last time out. Still, he managed to stick on gamely and from the good gate this time around, he looks very well placed. #10 Ernest Feeling is looking to snap a run of three consecutive runner-up efforts. Zac Purton hops up and he deserves another chance. #7 Seaweed Fortune is super capable and deserves respect. Here. #1 Fast Pace is after back-to-back wins. He’ll be able to figure once more.

Race 7: Shantou Handicap

#3 Royal Bomb draws well and is a force to be reckoned with on his day. He can improve off the back of his first-up effort and with even luck shapes as the one to beat. #6 Smoothies draws handily this time around and he commands respect with Zac Purton engaged once more. #8 Sacred Ibis slots in light. He races well second-up and does have a powerful turn-of-foot when required. #1 Everyone’s Delight is looking for his third fourth win from the last five starts. Don’t discount albeit with top weight allotted.

Race 8: Shenzen Handicap

#2 Aurora Pegasus draws well and pairs with Blake Shinn now. Chances are he uses the gate here to his advantage and from there proves difficult to reel in. #6 Beauty Cheers caught the eye in a recent trial. He moved well that day on the dirt and might be worth backing on an each way basis here. #10 Iron King is looking for back-to-back wins but does rise in grade. #3 Euromissile closed for a solid fifth last time out over this course and distance. He’s open to further improvement.

Race 9: Zhaoqing Handicap

#8 Brilliant Life closed well for fourth last start at 99/1. He appears to have turned a corner between seasons and is worth taking a chance on here. #7 Heart Conquered is nothing short of consistent. He gets a handy seven pounds taken off with the apprentice. #4 Keep You Warm is looking for back-to-back wins. He moved well to cross the line first in a recent barrier trial at Conghua. Gate four and the booking of Zac Purton suits. #3 First Responder is racing in superb form. This is tougher but he does have two wins from his last three starts.

Race 10: Zhuhai Handicap

#1 Be Ready fires second-up. He ran well first-up and with further improvement he is the one to beat for the in-form Frankie Lor yard. #5 Jolly Good Heart is a two-time course and distance winner who should make his own luck close to the pace. #3 Classic Posh is racing in career-best form. Don’t discount, especially over this course and distance. #10 Special M has looked sound in a few recent barrier trials. Expect a bold run first-up from gate four under Alexis Badel.
