Thomas Tuchel will be hoping that the Blues impress away from home

Tricky away game as Chelsea look to extend winning streak

Four points adrift of league leaders Manchester City, Chelsea go into the Wolves game looking to walk away with a comfortable win.

Going into this game on the back of 2 consecutive wins over Leeds United and Everton, The Blues will be eager to make up for lost ground after slipping to third following a match to forget against West Ham.

Wolves, who currently occupy the 8th spot in the Premier League standings, will be counting on the 12th man advantage at home as they try keeping Tottenham within reach, who have a single point lead, and a whopping 3 games in hand.

The Wolves receive a boost in the form of injuries on Chelsea’s side. Ben Chilwell is out with a partially torn ACL that he picked up during the 4-0 win over Juventus in the Champions League. Mateo Kovacic is also looking to be a doubtful starter following his COVID related self-isolation, even as he links up with the squad to resume training.

Overall, the injuries slightly weaken the strength of the Chelsea squad, and Sunday’s game at the Molineux Stadium looks set to be a close affair due to homeground advantage. It looks like Chelsea will win by a slim margin, and even a plausible upset draw if the Wolves hold out.
